Default Dreambox 8000

Finally, it looks like we're going to see this box delivered into the
hands of real-life satellite enthusiasts. Dream Multimedia have
launched an official beta-testing program which will see a number of
these top-of-the-range STB's tested by 'VIP's as Dream calls them.

Entry criteria for the beta-testing program isn't clear, but DMM are
pretty savvy at working out the type of individuals and groups that
will be in the best position to test their latest creation -
officially called the Dreambox DM 8000 PVR DVD.

The Dreambox 8000 follows on the heels of its baby brother, the DM800
which was successfully launched a couple of months back - and is
probably the most highly anticipated receiver launch of all time. Some
enthusiasts have literally died of old age waiting for this receiver,
but the wait is almost over!

NoSky has been accepted as an official beta-tester, so we will
hopefully have our hands on one of these beauties soon. Testers are
expected to sign-up to a testing agreement, which will probably
include some restrictions on reporting details of the unit, but you
can be sure that whatever is allowed, will be published on NoSky as
soon as possible.
